First Take

On 5th of April 2025, Plan B – The Eventguide successfully organized First Take, a Tamil short film competition that brought together filmmakers and cinema enthusiasts from across Europe. Held at Cinema Claudia in Kloten, the event attracted over 300 attendees and showcased 19 short films, providing a much-needed platform for emerging Tamil filmmakers to share their work with a wider audience.

The event’s success was driven by our team's commitment to creating a seamless and engaging experience. We worked closely with all involved parties, including filmmakers, sponsors, and jury members, to ensure that the event aligned with the vision of promoting Tamil cinema in Europe.

The day of First Take was filled with excitement, energy, and a palpable sense of celebration as the audience engaged with the films and participated in discussions. The highlight of the event was the awards ceremony, which recognized the outstanding contributions of the filmmakers in categories such as Best Short Film, Best Director, and Best Cinematography.
